Gail R. McKinney, age 84, of Bogata, Texas passed away on, Monday, June 21, 2021. She was born on July 12, 1936 in Pilot Point, Texas to Clarence Carson and Nell Dee Kilpatrick.(Rhodes).

She married Charles Rainey McKinney on June 1, 1955; he preceded her in death. Gail was the valedictorian of the 1955 graduating class of Bogata High School, an avid reader, and lover of a good joke. Gail was happiest when those she loved were happy and she always strived to make life better for those around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Mona Bryant, and Madge MacDonald; and by several beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Gail is survived by her daughter, Charla McKinney and husband, Michael Murphy of Garland, Texas; brothers, Jackie and his wife Joyce Rhodes, Dale Rhodes, and Shannon Rhodes all of Bogata, sister, Susan Howard of Longview, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, June 25 in the chapel at Wood-Haggard Funeral Home in Bogata.
