Joseph Lea Waite Jr, 56, of Henderson, NC died Thursday, December 23, 2021 at his home.
Born in Wake County, he was the son of the late Joseph Lea Waite Sr and Brenda Bunn Waite Hight.
Mr. Waite was a long-time employee of Roses Stores Inc.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sossamon Funeral Home Chapel. Conducted by the Rev. Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Surviving are his wife, Cyndi Kennedy Waite; one daughter, Jodi Waite (Batavious); three sons, Trevor Kennedy (Heather), Sean Waite (Anna) and Logan Waite (Alexis); three grandchildren, Tylon, Teigan and Heidi; one sister, Sherry Waite Reed; one brother, Michael Waite; a step father, James Hight and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at Sossamon Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., at other times they will be at the home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Rafe Parker, Mike Stevens, Craig Padgett, Curtis Vick, Matthew Reed, and Willie Bolton.
