Sheila Mae Austin of Springfield, IL died Wednesday, July 23, 1997, at her home, age 58. She was born Aug. 12, 1938, in Mason City, the daughter of Lee Roy and Edna Mulford Cloninger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Elsie and Martha Jo. Mrs. Austin was employed by the state Department of Revenue. She was a 1956 graduate of Roodhouse High School, a member of Barrow Baptist Church, and Springfield Chapter D.A.R.

Surviving are a son, Ronald of Springfield, IL; a daughter, Sherry of Auburn, IL; five grandchildren, Joshua, Bradley, Kyle, and Sara Upton, all of Auburn, IL, and Taylor Austin of Springfield, IL; a brother, John Cloninger of Rock Island, IL; and a sister, Vivian Cloninger of Pittsfield, IL.

Friends may call at Bisch and Son Funeral Home from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, July 27, 1997. Services there at 10 a.m. Monday, July 28, 1997, with the Rev. William Oaks officiating. Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery, Mason City, IL.
