Dallas - Rebecca Jean (Carter) Tuck, 71, died December 23, 2021, in Wichita Falls TX due to complications from cancer.
Mrs. Tuck was born on January 20, 1950, in Dallas,TX, to Leon Alvin and Billie Louise (Hill) Carter. They moved to Wichita Falls, TX, in 1954 where Mrs. Tuck graduated from Rider High School in 1968.
She married Jerry Bob Tuck the day after Thanksgiving in 1970.
They resided for a while in Irving, TX, then moved back to Wichita Falls where she worked for the Texas Highway Department until Jerry Bob's graduation from Midwestern University. They spent time traveling and playing music from Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Jupiter, Florida, to Anchorage, Alaska, before returning to Wichita Falls to stay.
She worked full time and part time while raising their two sons, Bryan Carter Tuck of Burbank, CA, and Andrew Evan Tuck of Wheeler, TX.
Before retiring at the end of 2018 from Midwestern State University as administrative assistant in the Political Science Department, she completed her Bachelors Degree in December of 2007.
For 50 years she was a member of the Wichita Falls First Baptist Church choir and several other vocal ensembles.
She is survived by her husband Jerry Bob, two sons, Bryan and Andrew, her sister, Carolyn and husband Tom Davenport, her sister, Nancy and husband Roy Shave and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Anita Sanders.
U. T. Southwestern Medical School is administrating her Willed Body Program. A memorial and celebration of life service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday December 29, 2021 in the East Sanctuary of First Baptist Church, Wichita Falls, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in her memory to Hospice of Wichita Falls, TX, and to First Baptist Church of Wichita Falls, TX.
