She is survived by her son Nelson Petzold and her daughter Pamela Troutman. There were two other sons, Christopher, and Greg, who left this life a few years ago. In addition, Mrs. Bishop has nine (9), grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Mrs. Bishop was born in 1935 in the Bronx, NY and grew up there until she married in 1951. For the past several years Joyce and Bob have lived at St. Marks retirement center in Palm Harbor, Florida. For those who knew Mrs. Bishop and all the medical challenges of her life, from several bouts of cancer, to multiple surgeries, renal failure, and severe back issues, she was known and loved by the wonderful people at St. Marks as a woman of incredible resolve, a never lacking spiritual faith and a smile that could light up the darkest heart. With grateful thanks to Almighty God for this fine lady, all are invited to Sylvan Abbey on Sunset Point Road in Clearwater, Florida on December 28, 2021. There will be a viewing from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a Liturgy Service from 10:00AM to 10;30 AM and final Internment directly after the Service. Sylvan Abbey FH.
