He was born on June 20, 1947, in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he spent his childhood, and graduated from Broad Ripple High School in 1966. Harold had a vibrant spirit and sense of humor that filled the room. Throughout his years, he enjoyed immersing himself in nature, gardening, camping, and taking road trips with his family and fishing trips with his lifelong friend, Mike. When he wasn't outside, you could find him in his garage tinkering with his woodworking and various projects or at his desk studying and sourcing antiques on eBay.
Harold spent his last days in his home surrounded by love and sunlight, looking out the windows at the trees, and birdwatching with his loved ones.
To celebrate Harold, visitation and service will take place on Tuesday, December 28th from 1 pm to 3 pm at Gooch Funeral Home in Rockville, Indiana with a burial ceremony at Memory Garden Cemetery following. In lieu of flowers, Harold would hope that you would do an unexpected act of kindness in his name, or donations can be made to the Salvation Army or Rockville First United Methodist Church.
