Nancy L. Bennett, 72 of Big Run, passed away on December 23, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born April 7, 1949, to Francis and Laura (Hickok) Truance in Mahaffey.

She was an active attendee of the Mount Carmel Church, where she played the organ every Sunday. Nancy worked numerous jobs, she drove truck, a flagger on a road construction crew, was a bar tender, then retired from DuBois Regional Medical Center working in medical records. Nancy was a jack of all trades. She not only could play the organ but she could play the guitar and she was known for her wonderful singing voice. Nancy enjoyed knitting, puzzles, and playing the key board. In her younger years, she made clothing for her family, including her sister's wedding dress. She loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Heather Mills and husband Jim, Punxsutawney, Christa Overbeck and husband Jim, Sykesville, a son Mike Bair and wife Michele, VA, eight grandchildren, a sister Susan D. Daisher and husband Richard, Mahaffey, two nieces, one grandniece and two grandnephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband George Bennett in 2018, and a brother Francis Truance.

Funeral services will be private, Internment will take place at Clover Run, Mount Carmel Cemetery.

A memorial service will take place at a later date.
