Alexander Quarrier, the son of Dr John Eoff and Helen Starke Quarrier, was briefly a glass manufacture, later listed as store clerk and bookkeeper. He married Lavinia C Delaplain, daughter of Nehemiah Delaplain and Lavinia Springer, abt 1852. Their children were Mary Lizzie Josephine "Mollie" Eoff (b. 1857 d. 1860), John Quarrier Eoff (b. abt 1861 d. 1881) and Thomas Delaplain Eoff b. 3 Oct, 1864.

"Alexander Quarrier Eoff succumbed from the effects of a capital operation performed at Columbus, Ohio and died February 2, 1906, in his 78th year. His wife took up residence with her son, Thos. D Eoff at Carnegie, Pa, but speedily sank into melacholia and followed April 9, 1906 in her 77th year and was taken to Wheeling for interment. These two lived together in wedlock for fifty-four years and Azrael, compassionate, saw to it that they were not long parted."
