Ralph was born July 3, 1920 near Knoxville, IA to Mayme (Reynolds) and Ralph Fry. Ralph Jr. served in the US Navy as an aviation radioman on the island of Amchitka, Alaska and then served on the private staff of the Commander of Naval Operations during WWII. He later worked as a conductor for the railroad until his retirement in 1977.
He is survived by his nephew, Bill Daugherty (Joannie); nieces, Donna Windell (Hank) and Sue Juhnke (Jay); and great-nephews and nieces. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Velma Calder, Francis (Arlene) Fox, Merle (Mickie) Fry and Bernice Ahn.
