"Last Saturday night, Mary Day, aged about eleven years, passed over the Dark River into the unseen world from an attack of diptheria, a disease which has brought sorrow to many hearts throughout the land. On last Sabbath her mortal remains were followed to their narrow home by a large number of sorrowing friends. Rev. R. H. Wills officiating. Other members of Mr. Day's household are afflicted with the same disease. Having passed through the furnace of affliction oneself we most deeply sympathize with the bereaved family."
