Clyde Pittman worked as an Engineer at Ingall's Shipbuilding in Pascagoula Ms. for 35 years. He went to his hometown of Foxworth Ms. on weekends to farm. He had a garden and planted large crops of watermelons which he sold. He was married to Lucy Dee Davis Pittman for about 39 years. They had six kids together. Three boys and three girls. Jerry Pittman, Nita Pittman, Clyde Lyle Pittman, Tonya Pittman Wiesen ,Terri Moore Moore and Darrell "Bubby" Pittman.
