Earl I. Williams, age 66, of Lake, passed away on February 1, 1991, in the MidMichigan Regional Medical Center-Clare. He was born on April 19, 1924, in Muskegon, the son of Earl Q. and Maud E. (Troop) Williams. He was married to Virda Catherene Holland on April 23, 1950 in Big Rapids. They divorced in 1972. He married Betty Quigley on September 24, 1977, in Harrison. Mr. Williams served in the Army in WW II and retired as a machinist from Benedict Machine Mfg. in Big Rapids. He moved to Lake 14 years ago from Big Rapids and was a member of the Gilmore Church. of Christ. Surviving are his wife, Betty; one son, Earl David of Metamora; one daughter, Cathy Herman of Sears; two step-sons, Lyle Quigley of England and Andrew Quigley of Illinois; two stepdaughters, Mary Vick Zastrow of Florida and Arma Zastrow of Lake; 12 grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren; one brother, Jack Williams of Reed City; one half-brother, John Witmarsh of Mio; and one half-sister, Inez Osborn of Fairview. Funeral services were held on February 5 in the Stephenson- Wyman Funeral Home with minister Ken Filkins officiating. Burial was in Surrey Township Cemetery at Farwell.
