BROMIDE -- Services for Ruby Truett will be 2 p.m. Monday at Bromide Baptist Church with the Rev. Alan Hicks and Claude Bluie officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Wapanucka.
Born March 8, 1908, at Roff, she died Dec. 4, 1997, at Durant. She married Henry E. Truett on July 6, 1933, at Coalgate. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ruby June Collier; and two sisters; and eight brothers.
Mrs. Truett lived most of her life at Bromide. She was a housewife.
Survivors include five sons, Henry A., of Houston, Hal, John and Rondall, all of Bromide, and Leroy, Tishomingo; two daughters, Elizabeth Staggs, Grand Prairie, Texas, and Alice Hester, Grapevine, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Bearers are Kendall, Terry, Kevin, Jason and Jerad Truett and Chad Hester.
Services are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
