Faye was born in Iowa Park,Texas, the only child of William Eubanks Holcomb and Eula May (Munden) Holcomb. She grew up in San Angelo, Texas. She married Robert Arhelger in San Angelo in 1940. The family moved to Austin in 1947. Faye was employed for many years with AISD. She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church since 1955.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Robert "Pat" Arhelger, of Austin; daughter, Lynn Hubertus, of Austin; son, John Arhelger and wife, Marilyn Gibbons-Arhelger, of San Marcos; grandchildren, Julie Hall, of Las Vegas, Nevada, Robert Hubertus, of Austin, Susan Ferguson and husband, Pat, of Willis, Texas; and great-grandchild, Jessica Hall, of Las Vegas, Nevada.
