Citrus Springs- Donald A. Thomas, Jr. (Tony), 53, died on December 22, 2021 at his residence in Citrus Springs while under the care of hospice surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 30, 1968 in Philadelphia, PA. After graduating from high school in Concordia Kansas in 1986, Donald enlisted and served with the United States Army for 9 years and served during Desert Storm. Following his service, he became a Truck Driver for a while and then found his true calling and became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2004 where he touched the life of many and was beloved by those in his care. In 2012 he moved to Florida from Kansas and loved spending time at the beach and became a frequent cruiser. He was a wonderful man and will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, Donald A. Thomas, Sr. and Cherie (Brachear) Thomas.

Survivors include his wife of twenty years, Dawn Thomas, Citrus Springs; his three sons, Donald A. Thomas, III, Kansas, Christopher A. Thomas, Kansas, Shaun A. Thomas, Kansas; his two daughters, Lisa Lindquist, Nebraska and Patrisha N. Lindquist, Florida; his two brothers, Richard Colby, Kansas, and Leo McCarthy, Missouri; his three sisters, Cherie Davis, Missouri, Susan McCarthy, Missouri, and Mary Colby, Kansas and a beloved grandfather to his twelve grandchildren; Auron, Matthew, Jayden, Riley, Kaydence, Kyleigh, Creed, Crew, Alessa, Lillyanna, Donald IV, and Ryver.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Roberts Funeral Home. Family will receive relatives and friends for a memorial visitation starting at 1:00 PM.
