Ralph Raymond Baker was born on November 4, 1924, in Catesby, Oklahoma. He passed away on December 22, 2021, at the age of 97. Ralph was the son of Frank and Fannie Baker. He lived in the Catesby and Laverne areas his entire life. He served in the U.S. Army from August 1943 to January 1946, where he served in the South Pacific in a signal company. Following the war, he farmed in the Laverne and Catesby areas until 2017. He married Nellie Maxine Hicks on August 21, 1947. They had two sons, Robert Lyle and Max Raymond. Ralph and Nellie were married 58 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie, in August of 2005 and a sister, Edith Shepherd Athens. Ralph is survived by his son, Robert, wife Susan, grandson Jeff and granddaughter, Wendy with 4 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his son, Max, with wife Pippa, granddaughter, Stephanie and great-grandson Anthony.
