Stephanie Elizabeth Jones, 44, of Jacksonville, NC passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021. She was born in Nashville, TN on May 23, 1977 to Henry Franklin and Jessie Carolyn Ables Jones.

A 1995 graduate of Manchester Central High School, Stephanie attended Blue Mountain College and graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2002. From 2003 until 2005, she worked with the North American Mission Board. Through her career, Stephanie held several positions: ESL Teacher in South Korea from 2006-2007, Sexual Assault Services Coordinator at Haven of Hope from 2008 until 2010, from 2010 until 2013, she was a domestic and sexual violence program specialist with the Tennessee Coalition to End Domestic Violence, from 2013 until 2019 she was Sexual Assault Response coordinator as an embed with The United States Marines Second Division at Camp Lejune, serving in Mons, Belgium in the same role from 2019 until 2020, and recently was embedded with the United States Marines as Preventative Behavioral Health Capability Specialist. Stephanie was a well-traveled woman who enjoyed her visits to twenty-two countries and forty-six states. Stephanie will be most remembered for her love for God, her family, her cat, Jonas, and her beautiful smile, which she gave to anyone she met.

Along with her parents, Stephanie is survived by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bryan and Lori Jones, Russell and Joy Jones; sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Geoff Songer; fourteen nieces and nephews; six great nieces and nephews; and her precious cat, Jonas.

The family will receive friends Monday, December 27, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will follow the visitation on Monday at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Wesley Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in West Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers are Bryan Jones, Geoff Songer, Russell Jones, Nathan Jones, Zach Palmer, and Asa Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Dallas Jones, Brady Jones, Marshall Jones, and Taggart Jones.
