Clyde Smith, Christian child of God, 82, of Blountville, entered the Kingdom of Heaven, the presence of God and Jesus, December 22, 2021, while being cared for with love at his home by granddaughter, Rhiannon; wife, Judy; daughter, Lisa and grandson, Cody via heart while stationed in Germany, serving our country in the Army.
Clyde loves the Lord, his family, friends and church family. His priorities: Strive to live a Christ-like life, provide for his family the necessities, most importantly: spiritual leadership, good loving memories and much laughter, work hard, help others, and share his faith... the good news of Jesus and the free gift of salvation. He often commented about making God smile, and strived to sow seeds to help others accept the free gift of salavtion and to keep on holding on to Christ, to feed our souls with reading God's word, the bible and communicate with God via prayer often, and have the peace of Christ.
The family will recieve friends, Tuesday, December 28, 2021 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Blountville Christian Church located at 1680 Blountville Blvd. Blountville, TN 37617, followed by a Celebration of Life Service, with Dwight Shaffer, Minister, officiating. A graveside service will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery located at 343 Pleasant Hill Rd. Blountville, TN on December 29, 2021 at 1:00pm.
Pallbearers will be Cody Palmer, Lyle Palmer, Roy Smith, Mark Smith, Chuck Almauroad, Dean Sells, Dustin Sells and David Jones.
Honorary pallbearers will be Brother Bob Allen, George Jones and Terry Hoornstra.
