A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at The Potter's House with the Rev. Mike Padgett officiating. Interment will be follow at the Bell Family Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Thompson of the home; daughter, Amanda Bush of Beaufort, S.C.; son, Braxton Thompson of Hubert; brothers, Terry Thompson of Cape Carteret and Jerry Thompson of Holly Ridge; and sisters, Gloria Hammond and Connie Thompson, both of Cape Carteret, Geraldine Shepard of Sneads Ferry, Maria Carroway of Hubert and Shirley Sterner of Pa.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro.
