Nancy graduated from Henry Clay High School for which she and her friends organized class reunions over 60 years. She attended University of Kentucky and was an avid UK basketball fan all her life. She retired from First Security Bank in Lexington and continued relationships with former co-workers and friends for the rest of her life. She was a member of Hill-N-Dale Christian Church and never missed the monthly "Keenagers" dinners.
Nancy was a shining example for our family. She was strong, quiet and full of wit. She was a supportive wife, "mom" and "Memaw" for all the family. And she was a dedicated friend to so many as she quietly recognized others with birthday cards, her many handmade crafts and quilts, or just a kind words. We encourage her friends and acquaintances to remember Mom by extending kindness to others.
Graveside services are scheduled at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville, KY on Monday, December 27, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, friends consider contributions to Hildegard House, P. O. Box 5613, Louisville, KY 40255 hildegardhouse.org OR Coalition for the Homeless, louhomeless.org
