He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Nelle Cox; wife, Jane Mundy Cox; parents-in-law, Waldon and Sue Mundy; brother, Joe Lane Cox; sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Herbert Roper; and brother-in-law, Jake Mullinax. Surviving are his children, Jennifer and Chad McElwaney, Natalie Rickett Carpenter, and Benjamin and Kelli Cox; grandchildren, Justin Cox, Hailey Rickett, Hannah Rickett, Jordan Cox, Jacson Rickett, and Allie Cox; brothers and sisters, Hugh and Joyce Smith, Lamar and Judy Roper, Greg and Kaye Cox, Deanna Mullinax, Ralph and Fran Gravitt, Andrew and Anita Bearden; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barry and Sheiron Mundy, Paul and Doris Mundy, and Judy Cox.
