Dale Turner Lawson, 84, of New Bloomfield, Mo., passed away Thursday December 23, 2021, at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo.

He was born on June 17, 1937 in New Bloomfield, Mo. a son of Sam and Vinita (Becker) Lawson. He was married on June 9, 1957 in New Bloomfield to Bonnie Louise Morrow.

A lifelong resident of the Central Missouri area, Dale was a 1955 graduate of New Bloomfield High School.

Dale was in the work force for over 60 years, having careers with Callaway Hills, KRCG TV, retiring as a Rural Postal Carrier with the United States Postal Service.

Dale was very devoted in his faith and was a lifelong member of the New Bloomfield United Methodist Church where he held numerous positions on various boards. Dale was also a charter member of the New Bloomfield Historical Society, and the National Letter Mail Carrier Association.

Being part of many organizations, Dale could often be found in a meeting, or at community events, but he also knew how to enjoy life. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals, and Kansas City Chiefs fan. Dale also, in his early years, enjoyed traveling with his wife. He especially enjoyed taking care of his lawn and spending time with his family and friends who will miss him dearly.

Dale is survived by: his loving of wife, Bonnie, of 64 years; daughters, Dawn Glick (Allen) of New Bloomfield, Dalene Baker (Randy) of New Bloomfield, and Dezra Lawson (Rocky) of Holts Summit; sister, Carol Brockman of New Bloomfield; brother, Larry Lawson (Linda) of New Bloomfield; eight grandchildren, Doug Glick, Justin Glick, Ashley Cramer, Tia Draffen, Erin Brown, Dane Baker, Nikki Andrews, and Brooke Gruenloh; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Dale is preceded in death by: his parents; and brother-in-law, Lester Brockman.

Visitation will be at the New Bloomfield United Methodist Church, from 10:00 until 12:00 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2021.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday at the New Bloomfield United Methodist Church with the Reverend Jeannie Martin Dudenhoeffer officiating. Graveside services will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens.
