George Mitchell, 78, of Ethel, passed away December 23, 2021 at University Medical Center in Jackson.
Funeral Services are 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Kosciusko with burial to follow at Parkway Cemetery.
Visitation is 5:00 – 7:00 PM Monday, December 27, 2021 at Culpepper Funeral Home and after 10:00 AM Tuesday at First Baptist Church.
George is survived by his wife Ophelia Mitchell, sons Scott Mitchell (Anita) and Chad Mitchell (Tosha), daughter Gina Guess (Jeremy), brother Doyle Mitchell (Marie), eight grandchildren Sarah Fulton (Tyler), Malerie Guess, Jessica Mitchell, Katie Jo Mitchell, Emily Mitchell, Brook Mitchell, Kaden Deason, and Lane Mitchell, and one great grandson Waylon Ridge Walters.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Kosciusko, a former Mason, Attala County Soil Conservation
Commissioner, railroad/bridge construction and heavy equipment operator.
George was preceded in death by his parents Percy and Maudell Kimbrough Mitchell.
