Jerome was a dedicated employee to various companies throughout his life. Even after he finished with a days work, he continued to stay busy at home to beautify his yard. After retirement he started a registered Beefmaster Cattle herd and enjoyed working the land in Hunt County, Texas. In 2014, he began woodworking with a lathe and created art from trees off the land in the Mineola, Texas. Survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Ann Zapletal of Mineola, Texas, daughter; Marie White and husband Michael, two sons; Tracey Jerome Zapletal and wife Rebecca, Brian Christopher Zapletal, grandsons; Brandt Michael White, Grant Hunter and wife Addie, and Scott Hunter. Graveside service will be on Monday, December, 27, 2021, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola, Texas at 11:00 a.m.
