On Tuesday, December 21, 2021, the Bowman family lost their hero. Jim Bowman went home to be with the Lord after complications due to pneumonia.

Jim was born and raised in Conshohocken, PA, from July 1, 1942 until he graduated from Conshohocken High School in 1960, where he later joined the Army. During his time in the Army, Jim backpacked across Europe and found his love for skiing, which he intended to do well past 80.

Jim's career path carried from ski shops and ski tours to entrepreneur and partner in Thyrocon Inc. in Telford. Jim took his leadership skills from there to wrap up his technical career at Mar Cor Purification and eased into retirement working part-time at Buckman Ski Shop.

He loved golfing with his friends every week and took every advantage to travel with his wife and friends. He also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and most importantly, time spent with his family.

Jim was an active member of Valley Forge Baptist in Collegeville, where he was always volunteering. Whenever there was a need, Jim was first in line with a positive spirit and the joy of the Lord in his heart and life. Jim led a team to prepare the Church for all the patriotic services.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 42 years: Juanita Franklin; brother: Jack Bowman; daughter: Kim Bosnyak and her husband Eric, and their children: Jessica, Laurel, Lilly, Christian and Matthew; and son: Keith Bowman and his wife Jenn, and their son Miles.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim's funeral service on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, at 11:00 am, at Valley Forge Baptist, 616 S. Trappe Road, Collegeville, PA 19426. Officiating will be the Rev. Scott E. Wendal. Interment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 11:00 am Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's name to the Valley Forge Baptist Building Fund at the address above. Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Royersford. Condolences may be offered online at www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.
