Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Margaret M. Lewis, 84, of Hazlehurst, went to be with her heavenly father December 22, 2021. She was born and grew up in Montgomery, Alabama, and it is there she met the love of her life, husband, Charlie. After marrying the young Air Force man, she and Charlie would make their home in Pearl, Mississippi after his retirement, for 34 years. Together they had four children, Debbie, Scarlett, Terry, and Bridget. After raising their family, Margaret and Charlie enjoyed traveling the Country in their motor home and "antiquing" during their travel adventures. Eventually, they would decide to "get a taste of the country life" and made their way to Copiah County. While in Copiah County, Margaret spent her days enjoying yardwork and relishing the beauty of the rose garden she so lovingly attended.
Margaret is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charlie Lewis, children Debbie Gentry, Scarlett "Coot" Lewis, and Bridget Lewis. She was also a loving grandmother to Brandi Lindsey, Katrina Gentry, Randall Gentry, Nicole Simpson, Morgan Miller, and Madison Medina. She also leaves behind twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Terry Lewis.
Visitation will be held from 10:00am until 12:00pm, Monday, December 27, 2021, at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl. Graveside services will follow at 12:30pm at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
