Mary Esther Salazar, age 92, born in Las Cruces, New Mexico, and a resident of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on December 21, 2021.
Mary Esther is survived by her children, José Manuel Salazar and María G. Salazar, sister, Gloria Griego, brothers, Alex Sandoval, Rey Sandoval and Raymond Sandoval, eight-grandchildren, ten- great-grandchildren, one on the way, along with many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Mary Esther was preceded in death by her parents, Benito Sandoval and Barbara Sandoval, step-father, Manuel Sandoval, husband, José F. Salazar II, son, José F. Salazar III, sisters, Alice García, Cecilia Moya, Mary Sandoval and Rose Barela, granddaughter, Desiree Salazar and grandson, José "Joey" F. Salazar IV.
A Public Visitation for Mary Esther will be held on Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., all to be held in The Gabaldón Memorial Chapel located at 1000 Old Coors Drive SW, Albuquerque, NM. A Mass will take place the following day, Friday, January 14, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, Albuquerque, NM. Pallbearers for the Funeral Mass will be Jeremy Salazar-Kent, Ariana Salazar-Kent, Melissa Salazar-Aragón, Marlena Salazar, Michelle Montez, Danai Montez, Jade Chávez and Angel Chávez. Pallbearers for the Internment will be Daniel Chávez Sr., Daniel Chávez Jr., Alex Sandoval, Josh Thorp, Rick Sandoval and Santiago Archuleta.
