January 24, 1963 ~ December 21, 2021 (age 58)

Mark Jeffrey Harris, of Boyne City, was born January 24th, 1963 and passed away on December 21st, 2021 at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City. He attended Boyne City Schools graduating in 1981. He served in the U.S. Air Force where he started his career as an Air Traffic Controller. After serving in the military, he worked for the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller until he retired.

Mark enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, farming, riding his motorcycle "Ruby", spending time outdoors and doing crosswords. He could light up a room, always had a way of making everyone laugh and was quite a jokester. He had a soft spot in his heart for the elderly, children and animals. His thoughtful, generous and caring way left an impact on all who knew him. He was a tender and loving father who was very proud of his children.

Mark is survived by his beloved fiance, Cindy Belford Lamacchia; son, Alex Harris; daughter, Sister Maria Luz; son, Luke Harris; brother, Mike (Gena) Harris and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Janet Harris and his sister, Marcia Anderson (Harris).

You may have known him as Mark, Bones or Harry but one thing is for certain he was very much loved and will be missed by many.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Charlevoix County Humane Society. A memorial service will be at a later date to be announced.
