Debbie S. Galloway, 67, of Lone Tree, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Deborah Sue Herrington was born on August 29, 1954, in Charleston, Illinois the daughter of Russell Wayne and Helen June (Hensley) Herrington. She was a graduate of Urbana High School in Urbana, Illinois. Debbie was united in marriage to Stephen "Joe" Galloway in Lone Tree. Debbie worked with her mother, Helen, at the Elm Tree Family Restaurant in Lone Tree and also worked at the Lone Tree Community School. She enjoyed her flowers, birds, gardening and cooking, but most of all, she dearly loved to spend time with her family.
Debbie will be deeply missed by her husband, Joe of Lone Tree; her son, Corey (Ellie) Shaw of Lone Tree; granddaughter, Ellana and siblings, Lori Haynes of Lone Tree, John Wayne Herrington of Port Ritchie, Florida, Rebecca Long of Moncks Corner, South Carolina and Maria Sallee of Illinois.
Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Martin Dale Veenker; brother, Jeff Long and brother-in-law, Tee Haynes.
