MOBEETIE - John O. Sims, 73, died Wednesday in Shamrock General Hospital.
Services will be announced by Wright Funeral Home of Wheeler.
Mr. Sims, born in Hamilton County, lived on a farm east of Mobeetie and had been a resident of Wheeler County since 1911. Mr. Sims was a retired farmer and a member of Primitive Baptist Church of Wheeler.
Survivors include the widow, Edith; two sons, Onie, Whittier, Calif., and Edwin, Richardson; one daughter, Mrs. Juanice Evans, Monte Vista, Colo.; three brothers, Matt, Mobeetie, Igar, New Orelans [sic] and Marvin, Sacrammento [sic], Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Wall, Vernon and Mrs. Lizzie Ledbetter, Maderia, Calif., and nine grandchildren.
