Peggy married the love of her life, Joseph John Taylor, and was happily married over 44 years. She was a proud Air Force wife and mother.
Peggy worked for the UT Dental School. She spent most of her time reading, playing solitaire on the computer, listening to Elvis Presley and Country music. She also enjoyed watching Joel Osteen and Fox News. Peggy loved going to Cracker Barrel with family and friends; however, her favorite place to celebrate birthdays was at the Taste of Texas restaurant. She enjoyed her summer vacations at her timeshare in Orlando, Florida, and visiting Disney parks.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Vicki and her husband Bryan Wiggins; grandson, Skylar Wiggins; grandson, Justin Jones and wife Susan; grandson, John Latvatalo and wife Ann Marie; granddaughter, Jessica Wilmont and husband Freddie; granddaughter, Brandy Crain and husband Chris; a great grandchildren, Ryan, Kayla, Caleb, Abigail, Kaitlyn and Joey.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Taylor; parents, Roy and Flora Crist; son, John Michael Taylor; son, Steven Joe Taylor; and stepbrother, Marcus Rogers.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the Schmidt Funeral Home East Avenue Chapel, in Katy, where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. with Chaplain Daniel Schramm officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Houston National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will include Skylar Wiggins, John Latvatalo, Justin Jones, Johnny Mecom, Larry Mecom, and Larry Carr.
