Richburg – Mrs. Sylvia Ann Hinson, 84, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at White Oak Manor in Lancaster.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Heath Memorial United Methodist Church, with Dr. Ted Hodges officiating. Burial will be in Lando Cemetery.
Born in Lando, SC, Mrs. Hinson was the daughter of the late Ben Morgan Ernandez and the late Jessie Wilson Ernandez. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Franklin Hinson; her son, Dennis Franklin Hinson; her brother, W.B. Ernandez; her sisters Fannie Ernandez, Earline Coker, Betty Cothran, Vera Ernandez Hough and Genola Collins; and her grandson, Jason C. Hoke. She was a nurse's aid in various nursing facilities, worked for the Chester County School District as an Attendance Clerk then for Manetta Mills. She enjoyed trips to the mountains and to the beach and loved to shop. She adored her husband of 62 years and taking care of her grandchildren. She was a member of Heath Memorial United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Hinson was the loving mother of Chris (Susie) Hinson of Richburg, Renee (Devan) Hoke of Florida and Laurie (Alex) Venable of Fort Lawn; and the doting grandmother Ashley Eargle, Christopher Hinson, Jr., Jody Hinson, Megan Davis, Breanna Ferrell and Payton Kee and eighteen great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Joyce Walker Bolton of Edgemoor; and her sisters-in-law, Joyce Ernandez of Edgemoor and Mary Alice Hinson of Charlotte.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC.
