Of: Dickson, Tennessee Passed Away: Saturday, July 29, 2023, at her home after a long battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones. She was born October 11, 1942, in Vanleer, Tennessee to the late Willard and Clella Robertson Hayes.
Joann earned her bachelor's degree from Middle Tennessee State University. She dedicated her life to making a difference in the lives of others as a social worker for children's services.
Outside her professional life, JoAnn had a passion for tracing genealogy. Her dedication to this hobby was reflected in her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Joann was also a Master Gardener. She served several terms as an officer for the Dickson County Gardening Partners. She taught classes, wrote articles, and worked with native plants at the Montgomery Bell State Park greenhouse.
