SPENCERVILLE — Lindsay Craig Miller, 70, of Spencerville, passed away on August 7, 2021 at his residence.

Born August 31, 1950, in Lima to Carl D. Miller and Norma Jean Miller (née Fronk), Lindsay was always outdoors. Starting out as a farmer in his youth, Lindsay grew into an avid hunter, strawberry grower and antique car enthusiast. A 1968 graduate of Spencerville High School, Lindsay worked long and hard for Thieman Stamping Co. of New Bremen.

He was also a loving and supportive father of his five daughters, who survive: Heather (Shane) Klingler of Napoleon; Jessica (Jerry) Poppe of South Beloit, Ill.; Nikki (Frank) Miller-Licht of Smyrna, Tenn.; Ashley (Paul) Miller of Lima; and Courtney (Chad Murray) Miller of Northbridge, Mass.

When he wasn't deer hunting in southern Ohio, picking berries next door at his mother's, or at car shows far and wide, Lindsay could be found singing karaoke to oldies tunes, woodworking, searching for arrowheads, building model cars, or painting à la Bob Ross. He was also a big fan of (bad) dad jokes. In fact, he was known for them.

Lindsay was predeceased by his father and mother, and leaves behind his brothers Kim "Fuzzy" (Tracy) Miller of Corbin, Kent., and Randy (Linda) Miller of Spencerville.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren, who were the light of his life in his later years, as he looked forward to attending the local fishing derby with at least one of them each July 4th.

Services will be held at Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville on Friday, August 27, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tom Shobe officiating. Friends may call beginning at 10 a.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Northwestern Ohio Field & Stream Association in care of Bayliff Funeral Home.
