Arthur H. Paul, 81, of Highland Ave., Oneida, passed away on Monday morning, December 20, 2021, at the Siegenthaler Hospice Center in Kirkland.He was born on November 14, 1940, in Oneida, the son of Arthur F. and Elizabeth Serviss Paul. He was a 1960 graduate of Oneida High School. Art went on to attend SUNY Morrisville and MVCC.On July 15, 1967, Art was united in marriage to Margaret R. Maher in St. Bridget's Church in Syracuse.He retired as the sales manager of Good Year Tires at Robert Paul Inc., after twenty years. In retirement, he was a school bus driver for the Oneida City Transportation Department.Art proudly served as a member of the NYS National Guard for six years. He was a former member of the Order of the Owl's Nest in Oneida, a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 767, and an active member of the Oneida YMCA. He was also a member of the DKUV, the Little Roaring Brook Club, the Mohegan Model A Club. He enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, traveling, and spending time with his grandkids.Surviving besides his loving wife, Margaret; are a son, Arthur M. (Diane) Paul, of Chittenango; three grandchildren, Eric (Jillian) Dowsland, Kailey Paul, and Artie Paul; three great-grandchildren, Clara, Charlie, and Cooper; and a sister, Karen Endemann, of Oneida; and several nieces and nephews. Art was predeceased by a brother, David Paul; and a brother-in-law, Kenneth Endemann.In keeping with Art's wishes, Art donated his body to SUNY Upstate Anatomical Gift Program to help educate students. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Church, 347 Main St., Oneida, in the summer of 2022. Interment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made in Art's memory to St. Patrick's School, 354 Elizabeth St., Oneida, NY, 13421.
