Greg Mosier, 51, of Parsons, died at 5:14 a.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2007 in the emergency room at Labette Health in Parsons.
He was born on November 24, 1956 at Parsons to Bob and Barbara (Barnes) Mosier. He grew up at Parsons and attended Parsons schools. He graduated from Parsons High school in 1974. He attended Labette Community College and played baseball on a scholarship. He went to work at the Katy railroad until 1985 when he went back to Labette Community College where he received an Associates degree in commercial art. He also served as an apprentice artist under Ted Watts. He also taught art classes at Labette Community College briefly. He currently worked at Par Forms Printing as a Graphic Artist. Over the years he was able to experience his dream as a self-employed graphic artist with his business, Mosier Signs and Graphics.
He and Sally Combs were united in marriage on March 7, 1987 at the Wesley United Methodist Church in Parsons. She survives of the home.
Greg had many passions in his life. He loved the creativity aspect of being a graphic artist. His labor of love was being and working with his many friends on various projects at their homes. He had a jovial sense of humor. He was a dedicated family man, who was devoted to every member of his family. He demonstrated this love as he proudly escorted his daughter, Samantha, at her scholarship pageants. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed pheasant hunting trip to western Kansas, fishing trip to Lake Toronto, and riding in the country to look for wildlife and scout game. He enjoyed sport playing baseball in his youth, slow pitch softball, and golfing. Greg was a master craftsman and that quality was demonstrated through his work as a graphic artist and the many home projects he was a part of. He generously donated his time, work, and talents to several community organizations. That generosity was continued after his death through being an organ donor. He was a member of the First Christian Church where he served as a deacon.

Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the First Christian Church in Parsons. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery.
