Greg struggled with mental illness for more than half of his 32 years. As mental illness often leads to drug addiction, he struggled with that as well. He craved to feel well. When he was well, he was a bright happy light who played guitar, painted, wrote songs, poems, and stories. He wanted to be a novelist someday. He found peace in Fair Haven at the family cottage, playing cards, fishing, swimming, and entertaining us with his music. He is so missed and loved and gave the best hugs.
Surviving are his parents Kathleen Williams of Morrisville, David B. and Bonita Williams of Hamilton; his grandfather Lawrence J. Baker of Hamilton, grandmother Heidi (Bruce) Stryker of Naples, FL., his brother, Matthew D. Williams of Morrisville; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandmother, Marilyn Olive Baker and his grandfather Barton B. Williams. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 4 PM, Burial in the spring will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Hamilton. Family and friends are invited and make call on Thursday from 2 to 4 PM at the funeral home. The Rosary will be recited at 1:45 PM.
