Guss Willard Eoff was the third of seven children born to Francis Jerome Eoff, a native of Arkansas, and Minnie Bell Freeze, a native of Texas. His siblings were Dock Alvin Eoff, Dovie L (Eoff) Kimbrough, Ella J (Eoff) Ezzell, R K Eoff, Milton B V Eoff and Francis Jerome Eoff, Jr. Guss was raised in Falls and Matagordo counties, Texas where his father was a stockman and cattle buyer.
Guss married Minnie Frances Ware, the daughter of William "Will" Reece Ware and Katie Donaldson, natives of Tennessee and residents of Fort Worth, Texas. Guss and Minnie were married abt 1918 (div). Their children were Jerome F Eoff (d.y.), Guss Willard Eoff, Jr, and Esther Clariece (Eoff) Bosanko. Guss and Minnie moved to Los Angeles, California about 1925. Guss worked as a butcher in a meat market. His second marriage was to Virginia (unknown).
