Carrie Frances (Fran) Emmins Foster, at 94, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2021, with her two daughters, Susan and Glenna, and son-in-law, Walter, at her bedside. She was born in Dallas on November 29, 1927. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; father, Harry; mother, Bessie Aubin; brothers, Harry Jr. and Bill; daughter, Donna (Steve) Morgan; and grandson, Adam Fox.

She met her husband of 66 years and married at the age of 16, on June 8th, 1944. Glen served in the Army Air Corp during WWII and later became a test engineer at IBM. Fran was a homemaker, working part-time for Kentucky Utilities.

She is survived by two daughters, Susan (Walter) Fox and Glenna (Ernie) Fletcher, 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

She was part of the "greatest generation" known as the "silent generation" and was a strong Christian woman, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was known for her smile, sweet endearing demeanor, and girlish laughter.

Her surviving daughters are comforted as reflected by their words:

We are very sad to say that our sweet mama peacefully passed from this earth and into glory

with us at her side. We are heartbroken, but the angels are rejoicing. She must be having a

grand reunion with Christ, and all her friends and loved ones that have gone before her.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 23rd at the Lexington Cemetery at 2pm, followed by a reception at Milward-Southland location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Woodford Humane Society.
