Robert "Rob" E. Curtis, age 62, of Newark, DE, received his ultimate healing when he went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Rob was a 1977 graduate of Brandywine High School. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps and then went on to earn his Associates Degree in Industrial Engineering. He was a loving, faithful, and supportive husband. Rob accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior in 1992 and was a member of Immanuel Church. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and vegetable/fruit gardening. Rob was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He loved his chihuahua, Smeagol named from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Rob will be deeply missed.

Rob is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Claudia Holloway Curtis; son, Robert Hostetter (Cary); daughter, Kelly Bate (Mike); grandsons, David and Alex; siblings: Kenneth Curtis (Marty), Virginia McCormick (fiancé, Sam), Michael Curtis (Meredith), and Christopher Curtis (Natalie); sister-in-law, Anna Curtis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Annie Curtis; and brother, Daniel Curtis.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 28, 2021, from 11 AM-12 Noon at Immanuel Church, 2414 Pennsylvania Ave, Wilmington, DE 19806 followed by a service in celebration of Rob's life at 12 Noon. Burial will be held privately at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Sunday Breakfast Mission, 110 Poplar St, Wilmington, DE 19801 or Disabled Vets at www.dav.org.
