After retiring from Republic Bank in Louisville, KY as the Vice President of Telecommunications, he was able to spend time doing what he loved: working in his garden, driving his tractor and four wheeler around the farm and watching westerns, always accompanied by his two black labs, Jet and Capo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son Matthew Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara (Fritsch) Jones of Corydon, IN; daughter, Shannon R. Jones (Matt Johnson) of Corydon, IN; "Adopted" son, David Cambron (Jess) of Indianapolis, IN; brothers, Terry Jones (Vicki) of Homewood, IL, Robert Jones (Rebecca) of Brandon, MS, Duane Jones (Jan) of Elizabeth, IN; sisters, Pam Alcorn (Zyndell) of Corydon, IN, Anita Adams (Larry) of Pittsboro, IN and his many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, IN. Burial will be in Central Cemetery in Central, IN. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 8 PM Wednesday, December 22, 2021, and from 9 AM to 11 AM on Thursday.
