Janice Carolyn Thompson, age 69, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at Rutherford Regional Medical Center.

She was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Dorothy Thompson. Janice loved to shop and get her hair done, travel to the beach and ocean; especially the Caribbean. She was active in the Golden Girls group and enjoyed going to lunch with the ladies. She had a beautiful handwriting and enjoyed sending cards to family and friends. Janice loved dogs and had two special dogs named Lucky and Gracie.

She is survived by her longtime caregivers whom loved her so much and cared for her so well; Pat Herron and Sara Ledbetter.

The graveside service will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery at 3:00 PM, Thursday, December 23, 2021. Interment will be at Rutherfordton City Cemetery, Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or your favorite dog rescue.
