Cheryl was Predeceased by her father Elijah Boston Jr., her grandparents Katie and Elijah Boston Sr, grandfather Frank Collins, grandmother Elvinia Handy, and great grandmother Naomi Thomas.
Cheryl attended Haleyville Elementary school in Port Norris NJ, she later attended Penns Grove high school where she received her high school diploma. In December of 2018 She graduated from Strayer University and received her degree in Business Administration.
Cheryl met the love of her life William Barber in 2009 and they married on November 9, 2016. Cheryl and William affectionately called one another Mr. and Mrs. Buzzard. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.
Cheryl worked many years in the healthcare industry as a CNA and a Medical Assistant. In 2016 she began working for the Delaware school district as a Paraprofessional.
Cheryl was loved by all who knew her because she was kind, loving and had a heart of gold. She would give you a place to stay if needed. Cheryl would go out of her way to give some a ride home or to work. Whenever her family or close friends needed her she would not hesitate to help. Cheryl and her sister Michelle had a pet name for each other, they called one another Crambone which they got from watching their favorite childhood cartoon Tom & Jerry.
Cheryl was often the life of the party because she loved to laugh, sing, and dance. Her bright smile and vibrant personality will surely be missed by us all.
Cheryl leaves to cherish her memory, husband William Barber, her children Terrell Mercado of Wilmington DE, Cierra Boston of Wilmington DE, Brittany and Brianna Harris of Georgia, Lateesha Barber of Dover DE, and Amber Thomas of Philadelphia Pa. twelve grandchildren, her mother Geraldine Boston of Chester PA, her siblings, Leslie Bailey of Vineland NJ, Michelle Bailey of Camden NJ, Lisa Luster of Vineland NJ, Tanesha (nay nay) Kirby of Wilmington DE, Stacy Boston of High Point NC, Kevin Muhammad of Buena NJ, Steven Clements of Ocean City NJ and a very special cousin Gloria Whitaker who was more like a aunt or a second mother. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
