Mrs. Thelma J. (Horst) Martin, 66, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away suddenly Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the Wellspan Hospital in York, PA.
Born September 27, 1955 in State Line, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Horst.
She and her husband of over 49 years, the late Mr. Duane A. Martin, were married April 19th, 1972 in Maugansville, MD.
Mrs. Martin was a long-time member of the Mount Zion Mennonite Church, in Boonsboro, MD.
Thelma enjoyed spending her time gardening, quilting, and biking the C&O Canal. She loved spending time with her loved ones, especially her husband and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Brent Martin and his wife Ellen, of Greencastle, Keith Martin and his wife Laura, of Greencastle, Craig Martin and his wife JoAnn, of Greencastle; grand-children Trenton, Gage, Atlee and Baylee; siblings Martha Ann Strite, Ella Horst, Eldon Horst; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in Mount Zion Mennonite Church, 20544 Benevola Church Road, Boonsboro, MD, with Pastor Allen Eshleman officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M., Monday evening, in the church.
Burial will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery, Boonsboro, MD.
