Through the years, he had various retail jobs, but what he loved most were his numerous art projects and his music. He was a very gifted singer, songwriter, and mandolin player, with genres ranging from classic rock , gospel, and bluegrass. His amazing "'high notes" were hard to match! He felt humbled and privileged to play bluegrass for many years with Crucial Smith, Latresa and the Signal, where he made lifelong friends and played in numerous festivals and locally at The Sutler and Station Inn.
He leaves behind his dad, Ronald E. Wood; sister Kim (Kip) Williams; nephews, Steve Williams, and Nick (Angelia) Williams. He is preceded in death by mother, Ruby S. Wood and his favorite cats, Eck, Cindy, and Yngwie.
He will be dearly missed by his family, his many dear friends, his fans, and his "earthly angels", especially former wife, Gwen. He can now sing on with the heavenly angels.
Visitation at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 from 4-7 pm. Funeral service on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 1 pm with a one hour visitation starting at noon.
His family is grateful for the wonderful care he received from West Meade Place and Alive Hospice, and the love and support from his Church family at Harpeth Hills Church of Christ.
