Jeanne was born and raised in Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba. She married Joseph Brick in 1933. They raised their two children on a farm close to Notre Dame. They lived in St. Boniface from 1956 to 1974 and then moved back to Notre Dame to retire.
She was a seamstress, she worked in the dietary department of the St. Boniface Hospital, at age 60 she was certified as a Health Care Aide and then worked at the Notre Dame Hospital. She volunteered as a member of the Daughters of Isabella and at the Foyer Notre Dame. She loved to play cards, knit, read, cook, garden, dance, and travel to see her family.
She was a very kind loving person. She thought of others before herself and never wanted anyone to go out of their way for her. She was a proud, independent, quiet and calm person who was there for you when you needed her. Her family was the center of her life and she loved being surrounded by them.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph Brick, her daughter Rejane, son-in-law Henri Lancelot, her parents Dominique and Angelique Roch, her brothers Rene and Albert and her sister Cecile.
She is survived by her son, his spouse, and their children; also by Rejane's children and their spouses; as well as her brother and his spouse, her sister-in-law, and her son-in-law and his wife. She was the proud Grandma to 16 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.
We would like to express our deepest thanks to the staff at the Foyer Notre Dame for their endless, devoted and loving care of our mother and grandmother, Jeanne. We would also like to thank Dr. Denis Fortier, Dr. Holly Hamilton and the staff of Notre Dame Hospital for their special care of her. A big "thank you" to the families that opened up their homes and provided us with warm meals and beds while we spent our last days with her. Your thoughtfulness made a difficult time a little easier for us.
