Lucille M. Hosey of Burlington Services for Lucille M. Hosey, 79, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, at United Methodist Church, Center and South St., Burlington, with the Rev. Brian William officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Township Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire, and from 10 a.m. until the time of the services Saturday, at the church. Born March 15, 1928, in rural Burlington, the daughter of Carl and Gladys (nee Russell) Anderson, she passed away early Thursday morning, Dec. 20, 2007, at Sherman West Court, Elgin. Lucille was a 1945 graduate of Burlington High School and married Joseph P. Hosey on April 28, 1949, in Elgin. They raised their family in Burlington and she was retired from GTE, formerly Leich Electric in Genoa. Lucille was very artistic and enjoyed painting, drawing and craftmaking. She was a longtime member of the United Methodist Church in Burlington. Surviving are her sons, Steven Hosey of Burlington and Joseph (Diane) Hosey Jr. of DeKalb; daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Krause of Marengo; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; her sister, Ruth (LeRoy) Getzelman of Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe on May 29, 1982; and her son, Dennis on Feb. 20, 2007. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be directed to the Burlington Fire Department, Lions Club or the Burlington/Hampshire Senior Citizens. For information, 847-683-2711.
