Don was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandpa, friend and servant to all. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling to various destinations, including Canada, Alaska and twice to Africa. He was a faithful member of Greenwood First Baptist Church for nearly 50 years, teaching Sunday School for 38 years. He was diligent to influence young men through numerous ministries throughout his life, passionately fulfilling Proverbs 27:17 – As iron sharpens iron, one man sharpens another.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Loraine Bull and a son, Blake Bull.
He is survived by his wife Barbie Bull; son, Derek Bull and wife Jessica of Greenwood; daughter, Tamara McKown and husband Austin of Van Buren; sister, Milinda Wisdom and husband Steve of Charleston; two grandchildren, Harper Bull, Liam McKown, and happily expecting a third, Lucas Ray McKown in April; niece, Maci Poston and nephew, Mason Wisdom and many dear friends.
Funeral service was held 9 a.m. on Thursday, December 23, at Greenwood First Baptist Church with burial at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood.
Pallbearers were Austin McKown, Mason Wisdom, David Gregory, Mike Corley, Jesse Anderson and Joe Brewer. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Wisdom, Larry Corkern and Richard Hickey.
