She was also preceded in death by her parents, Wade Thomas Alexander & Bettie Keith Alexander; her brothers, William Keith Alexander & James Dickson Alexander. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Betty Holbrook & Walter Allen Cremens, and Sally Holbrook & Dr. Joseph Gibson Whelan, Jr., all of Charlotte; grandchildren & spouses, Kimberly Dean Cremens, Jeffrey Allen & Amy Klingensmith Cremens, Philip Keith & Michelle Emmrich Gamble, all of Charlotte; eric Reese & nancy Wood Gamble, Baltimore, MD, John Patrick & Anne Lewis Gamble, Memphis; great-grandchildren, Mary Catherine & William Reese Cremens, and Oliver Keith Gamble, Reese Alexander Gamble, Claudia Ann Gamble, and Elizabeth Grace Gamble, & Charles Appelton Gamble. Graveside services were conducted on Saturday, December 3, 2005.
