Harold Don Stewart, age 81, of Arkadelphia, passed from this life on Monday, December 20, 2021, at Christus St. Michaels Health Center in Texarkana, TX. He was born August 8, 1940, in Arkadelphia, the son of the late Pearl Edward and Leslie Pontious Stewart.

Don was a retired machinist with Fafner and later Scroll. He was a member of Curtis Baptist Church. Don enjoyed watching sports, including his beloved St. Louis Cardinals and Arkansas Razorbacks. He and his brothers enjoyed fishing and hunting in their early years.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Glen "Buzz" Stewart, and one sister, Lizzy Stewart.

Survivors are his wife, Sally Moffatt Stewart of Arkadelphia, one brother, Charles "Panky" Stewart of Curtis, and one sister, Jo Anna Bittle of Deming, NM.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Hart's Chapel Cemetery.

No visitation is planned.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
